The Lewis Peat Calendar 2008 has been produced to help raise funds for Leukaemia Research and shows the various stages of the traditional peatcutting process on Lewis, carried out in slightly unusual attire by some of the local worthies. Spare a thought, and a fiver, for these gents, who bared (almost) all for charity during an unusually chilly summer...
To order a calendar please visit johnmacleanphotography.com. All proceeds going to Leukaemia Research.
The Full Monty girls have been working tirelessly over the last two years. They have been raising money to provide a ground breaking education program for Rosie Morris, a six year old girl with severe autism and epilepsy, causing a torrent of media interest along the way. This year they managed to persuade 100 other women to pose naked with them to form the word AUTISM in a field. This calendar is tasteful fun and informative with with facts about autism in the text to spread awareness of the condition. The photos were taken by award winning photographer Georgie Brocklehurst it's A3 and unmissable!!...By making this your calendar of choice for 2008 you will be helping Rosie to access a better quality of life. Urban Photography's Housework Calendar is every girl's dream, and it's supporting Breast Cancer charities. 12 stunning guys, doing your housework, wearing only a smile. It's all tastefully done (no intimate bits shown), so you can leave the calendar up when the vicar comes round for tea.
The "Gravel Girls" calendar aims to emulate both the fundraising success of the famous WI "Calendar Girls", and also their fun style of presentation. Expertly-lit monochrome photos will give the calendar the same cheeky yet artistic look. The major difference is that Nicola and friends will have their modesty tantalisingly preserved by car parts, wheels, tyres maps and other rally paraphernalia instead of cakes, knitting and jam.
The 2007 "Gravel Girls" calendar will be available to purchase from the end of October (date to be finalised) by visiting www.gravelgirls.co.uk, or from motorsport mail-order giant Demon Tweeks, price £10 with all proceeds going to the Wales Air Ambulance charity.
Here is one of the pictures from the 2007 SASY calendar. SASY (Stop Animal Suffering Yes!) is an all volunteer organization dedicated
to the eradication of animal abuse and suffering in Costa Rica. Your support by
purchasing this 2007 calendar will help them to fund educational programs to stop
animal abuse, fund spaying and neutering clinics in low income barrios and sponsor
shelters for abused and abandoned animals.
"Never before have you seen bus drivers go starkers for charity and maybe some of you would
prefer not to see them go starkers,
but it's raising money for Cancer and Alzhiemers awareness. So support them in getting it all off."
